Snom Tradeshow, VAR Training Sessions for Autumn Announced

Currently snom representatives are at three different conferences and tradeshows, continuing the tour of the new snom UC series desktop phones, launched in September. You can find them at Interop 2011 in New York, COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2011 in Orlando and Metaswitch Forum in Las Vegas.

These VAR training sessions are designed to give resellers hands-on experience with snom’s growing portfolio of endpoints and communications equipment, from the snom 3xx and snom 8xx series desktop phones to the snom ONE IP PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) "and even," snom officials say, "with our latest line of unified communications and Lync-ready phones, snom UC."

The program

There are no formal prerequisites for the program, even though participants are expected to have an in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, SIP, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and telecommunication technologies.

Last month TMC’s John Lahtinen wrote that snom, a developer of IP desktop phones and IP communications tools, announced snom UC – a new edition of snom IP desktop phones designed for unified communications and qualified for use with Microsoft Lync Server 2010 – at ITEXPO West in Austin. snom was a Gold Sponsor of ITEXPO.

The new line includes the snom 821 UC edition

The new line includes the snom 821 UC edition and the snom 300 UC edition – both of which work with Lync Server 2010 and are currently the only phones on the market compatible with both Microsoft Lync and other SIP based PBXs, according to snom.

The snom UC edition as well includes the new snom UC600, a purpose-built USB desktop phone that provides operation with the Lync soft client.
