Ohio unemployment rate down again
Last month, about 6,400 jobs were added in manufacturing, which has been one of the sectors helping to drive the state's economic recovery. The state as well saw gains of 4,500 jobs in professional and business services and 4,300 jobs in educational and health services.
HUNTINGTON -- Anyone whose business ideas needs a jump start is invited to the Entrepreneurs' Cafe at noon Wednesday, June 20, at Cabell-Huntington Health Department, 703 7th Ave., Huntington.
Each month, three businesses get 10 minutes to sell their idea to a group. The group decides who has the best idea, and the winner receives a cash prize plus business services donated by local businesses. Two presenter stops are open for then week.
CHARLESTON -- Frontier Communications says it has launched a suite of Voice over Internet Protocol business services in parts of West Virginia that offer secure connectivity and enhanced workplace mobility.
Services include Frontier Managed IP Telephony, Session Initiation Protocol trunking and more. With VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), voice and data are carried over the same networks, reducing costs during enabling features that boost efficiency and productivity, said Rich O'Brien, Southeast Region marketing director for Frontier.
Frontier's solution is delivered over a private, secure and dedicated network, or rather than the Internet, he said in a release, and the Frontier network is constantly monitored to route voice calls reliably.
