InformationWeek Government Announces Speakers

InformationWeek Government announced the speakers for GovGloud 2011, a new conference taking place on October 25 at the Reagan Pavilion in Washington, D.C. This day-long event is designed to give IT professionals in federal, state and local government the most up-to-the-date information on how cloud computing is being deployed in government. The event theme is 'Building Secure, On-Demand Clouds for Government.' Topics of discussion include public cloud services, private clouds, and shared clouds, and how to use those platforms after a fashion that minimizes risks and satisfies FISMA and other requirements.

The event features a keynote presentation

The event features a keynote presentation by Gus Hunt, CTO of the Central Intelligence Agency. Featured speakers include Dr. Lon Gowen, associate director for research with NASA Goddard; Katie Lewin, director of GSA's federal cloud computing program; Kenneth Rogers, director of IT strategic planning for the Department of State; Grant Schneider, CIO of the Defense Intelligence Agency; and senior IT officials with Homeland Security, NIST, the U.S. Marshals Service, and other agencies.
